You Check Your Phone Within 30 Seconds of Waking Up — Here Is What That Single Habit Is Doing to Your Entire Day

Your alarm goes off. Maybe you silence it with one eye open. And before your feet have touched the floor — sometimes before you have even fully opened both eyes — your thumb is already moving. WhatsApp notifications. Instagram. News headlines. Someone replied to something. The group has 47 unread messages. The day has not begun yet and your brain is already reacting to eleven different things that have nothing to do with you or your life or what you actually need right now. This is the most widespread harmful habit in India in 2026. And almost nobody talks about what it is actually doing to your brain. According to a 2025 survey of Indian smartphone users, 68 percent of Indians check their phone within the first 30 seconds of waking up. Another 15 p...

22, Unplaced, and Misunderstood: The Silent Struggle of a Boy

22, Unplaced, and Misunderstood: The Silent Struggle of a Boy

Being a 22 year old guy is weird. Society tells you to "be a man," handle the pressure, get a job, and settle down. But nobody tells you what to do when you are the only one left behind.

We talk a lot about relationship problems. But we rarely talk about the specific, suffocating pressure of being an "Unplaced Boyfriend" while everyone else your friends, your batchmates, and even your girlfriend has already moved ahead in life.

This post isn't a rant. It is a glimpse into the heart of a boy who is trying his best but is still labeled as "lazy."

The "Invisible" Hard Work

There is a misconception that if a guy doesn't have a job offer letter in his hand, he is sitting idle.

Let’s look at the reality of a "Placement Struggle." A company announces an interview. The boy knows this is his chance. He disappears for 3 to 4 days.

  • He studies until 1:00 AM.
  • He wakes up at 6:30 AM to revise.
  • He skips meals. He skips sleep.

He isn't doing this just for money. He is doing this because he has a secret fear: "If I don't get this job, I can't stay near her." His motivation isn't just a career; it is love. He wants to secure a future where he can take care of her and be in the same city. But this struggle happens in silence, inside four walls.

The Moment the Heart Breaks

The interview day comes. He gives his 100%. He has hope.

Then, the result comes: Rejected.

In that moment, a boy doesn't just lose a job. He loses his confidence. He feels like a failure compared to his friends who are already posting "I got placed!" stories on Instagram.

He doesn't cry in public. He swallows the pain and goes to the one person he thinks will understand that is  his girlfriend. But the girl doesn't take this as a serious issue.

This is where the tragedy happens. A boy in this situation doesn't need a solution. He doesn't need to hear, "It's okay, try next time." That is generic advice given by strangers.

From his partner, he craves her presence. He wants her to just sit with him while he processes the failure.

But instead, the reality for many guys is different.

  • He tries to speak, but she is busy.
  • He tries to explain his pain, and she starts a fight about a completely different, small issue.
  • And the worst dagger to the heart? She mocks his stress.

When a girl says, "You are not doing anything, you just sit idle," to a boy who has been studying for 4 days straight with no sleep, something inside him dies. It is not anger; it is hopelessness.

Why She Doesn't See It

It is not that she is a "bad" person. It is often a difference in perspective.

She looks at the result: "He has no offer letter, so he must not be trying hard enough."

He lives the process: "I gave everything I had, and I still failed."

When he tries to pull her attention, it's not because he is needy. It’s a silent cry for help. When that cry is ignored or worse, met with a fight - the boy retreats into a shell. He cries alone, silently, because he feels he has no right to express his feelings until he becomes a "Success."

Final Words: To the Unplaced Warrior

If you are reading this and you are that boy - I see you. Your hard work is not wasted just because the result hasn't come yet.

  • The late nights matter.
  • The intention to take care of her matters.

And to the partners reading this: If your boyfriend is struggling with his career, he is vulnerable. He might not say it, but he is terrified of losing you because of his financial status. Don't mock his stress. Don't call him idle. Just hold his hand and say, "I saw you working hard. I am proud of you regardless of the result.". Just hear him out even a Boy too have a Heart and feelings.

That one sentence can give him the strength to clear the next interview.
